the box that i put the letter and the ring in was an old broken box that belonged to her father that is now passed away, so i fixed the box and i really want to surprise her with all of them together
Honestly, I would leave out the letter.
It would be more meaningful if you asked her aloud.
My boyfriend told me he loved me in a letter, and I always wished he would have said it.
Saying it is just more meaningful.
Anyway, I would invite her over for a movie night, and then when she comes in have the whole place decorated with candles and flowers. And then just ask her.
Leave it in the bathroom for her morning shower when she wakes up, or next to her pillow.
