If a company puts helping neighborhoods in the forefront of their business objective, I think we should give them a closer look. When you read about all the high salaries and million dollar bonuses the executives of big companies in America are receiving, but you never hear about how they give back to the community, it makes you ponder why the country is in such a financial mess.
But when you read about a company that gives a large portion, as much as 40% back to the communities in the way of programs such as homeowner training or youth-at-risk programs it reminds me why I love this country called America. Those companies who are giving back to make this a better place to live are the ones I want to put my IRA real estate investments with.
