Damn! And here I sit without a mortgage.
People who loose their jobs will stop paying their mortgages and their credit card payments.
Just remember that now the government owns your mortgage and therefore your house, you can expect direct deductions from you paycheck to pay what you owe.

I don’t recommend anyone doing this, Peter is obviously talking to those people who can barely pay their mortgage and who have crappy credit. If you do, then go ahead, what difference will it make. Problem is, it will be hard for you to buy more expensive things like cars,costly repairs, just about anything. You will have to save a lot, and that’s hard if you have an average paying job.

The picture of “staples” is funny.
Rockwell’s concerns matched mine so well that I’m seriously questioning the orthodox eco I regurgitate everyday. Friedman blamed the Fed for the GD, but most people don’t see the financial system the same way as the equilibrium driven people in Fed. By subsidizing mistakes more and more we’d eventually come up a social system that IS the mistake, the exact opposite of what Friedman wanted. Bailout does not solve the problem, it’s as short-term minded as the current state of politics.

No you can’t but you could put it on the ground and when someone goes to pick it up you could hit them on the head with a sock filled with sand, find out where they live, go there and break in, make a garden out the back to grow vegetables and water them and then eat them when they’re nice and big and ripe.
