The past 100 years have marked the greatest age wave in history. In fact, today, seniors are living an average of 30 years longer than they were a century ago. This dramatic increase in longevity correlates directly with an increase in the number of years one can expect to spend in retirement. According to a recent study by AIG SunAmerica & Harris Interactive entitled The Re-Visioning of Retirementâ„¢, four distinct faces exist among todays retirees. This study clearly demonstrates that the planning of today greatly influences the retirement lifestyle of tomorrow.
