using debt relief center inc. out of maryland. I’ve paid about 1800.00 so far and haven’t seen any results why?

Because 99% of ‘debt relief’ companies simply collect your money and DELIBERATELY don’t pay ANY of your bills. Once your credit is thoroughly trashed, they use your status as a DEADBEAT to attempt to negotiate settlements with your creditors. You can do that yourself and save the UPFRONT fees they take before doing anything.

Is that the one in Owings Mill, MD?

Personally, I don’t trust a company that was founded in 2008, and has NO rating at all on BBB. On the other hand, the two complaints BBB received about them have been marked as “resolved”.

I’ve never used them but, you should never send money up front to anyone! Any legitimate company would NEVER ask for money up front. Sorry but it sounds like a rip-off to me.Contact your local bbb or state attorney’s office asap!
