Please help me here. We spend $ trillions fighting in Iraq that adds to our debt, so we borrow from the Chinese in exchange for treasury notes. As we are getting ready to leave this mess the Iraqi’s sign $ billion oil deals with the Chinese. So the Iraqi’s will be rich, the Chinese will be rich, and we will be closer to bankruptcy for our children to pay. Do the withdrawal negotiations involve the U.S. getting repayment from future oil revenues – or are we just morons?
Getting paid back what we spend is hardly “wealth” – its common sense that those who paid to make oil revenues possible get paid back from the future revenues. Have you looked at out national debt lately?
Your are right. we should demand repayment. Obama is trying to pass a bill right now that would give over 800 BILLION dollars to the united nations. imagine that stupidity squared
Yes, and if you think that is the stupidest thing the government has done you haven’t been paying attention. Just look at the two major candidates running for office.
They both started out opposing off shore drilling, particularly off the coast of Florida. Where by the way the Chinese have made a deal with the Cubans to start drilling.
And guess what they’re both Senators and already in the government and have both, (Obama not so much, hasn’t been in office long) helped create the messes they now claim they and fix. We are stupid if we buy this non-sense.
we are the most foolish government in the world.that;s why every country in the world comes to the USA.they stick their hands out for help and we give all we can.the american people ask for help their hands are slapped.just today on CNN the iraq government was found to have a massive surplus of money all from the UNITED STATES.when the hell is this government going to learn to stay the hell out of other peoples problems.where;s all the help from these other countries when we are in trouble.i;d tell the iraq government to go to hell and fight their own damn war.and take back the massive surplus that the hard working american people have worked so hard for. and get nothing except their sons and daughters killed by a bunch of idiots that can;t solve their own problems.all americans need to stand up and tell this government of ours to stop giving out our money without first asking the american people.yes we are morons.the biggest moron is soon coming to the end of his term.GEORGE W BUSH.what an idiot.
With the republicans in office, YES….they truly believe that our government is incapable of properly administering the agencies we, the people demand that they do. Therefore, in an effort to “minimize” government, they gut the agencies that are supposed to work in our best interests. In the end, they have crippled our government and given the reigns over to greedy corporations that are currently draining our public coffers to a point it has never been before. Haliburton, the oil companies, and others are allowed to steal our money while we are told thay public education, health care, social security, and care of the poor and disabled are just too expensive to deal with. There needs to be MAJOR change in Washington, but it wont happen soon.

the last 8 years were not the most well thought out actions by a White House administration we”ve ever had.
No we shouldnt, we did not go into Iraq for oil or wealth, but I would like to add it would be the decent thing for Iraq who now has oodles of money to donate some of that money to the widows, children of Americans killed in Action or wounded.
